The mass consumer goods distribution group, MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP, has chosen ADT, Europe’s leading provider of electronic fire and security solutions, to install closed circuit television (CCTV) systems, Intellex® digital video management systems and intruder alarm systems at its cash and carry centres in Spain. From now on, new and redesigned centres from the GMcash Gros Mercat chain of MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP will have the latest electronic security technology to help minimise losses, manage processes and protect their premises.
As part of an ambitious commercial restructuring project, MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP is carrying out a redesign of 15 of its centres that will include, among other measures, ADT security technology to allow remote monitoring of the CCTV and intruder detection systems. The new GMcash Gros Mercat establishments will also be equipped with ADT security solutions, which will be tailored to the size and design of each cash and carry centre.
As well as helping to limit losses and improving the overall security of each centre, the Intellex® system from ADT will help MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP managers to supervise operational processes and manage potential risks. At the same time as recording images from the CCTV system, Intellex® is able to filter hours of visual material and locate events according to specific criteria, as well as instantly detect incidents and provide alerts.
Ignacio Cuenca, Marketing Director of ADT Spain and Portugal, states: “This agreement consolidates our relationship with one of the major wholesalers in Spain. This integrated digital video management and anti-intrusion solution will enable MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP to establish itself at the forefront of the sector in terms of security, using devices that will help to ensure the protection of people and goods and optimise the work of security staff.”
Ferran Masip, Head of Security of MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP, says: “The solution installed by ADT will allow us to manage our installations better and to limit possible losses, thanks to the vast management possibilities offered by its digital video recording system. In the wholesale sector, where margins are tight, security and management systems help us to be competitive.”
ADT offers a complete suite of electronic security and operational tools for retailers around the world and serves 8 of the top 10 global retailers.
