ADT Fire & Security, Europe’s leading provider of electronic security and fire protection solutions, was recently awarded the contract to implement security solutions at FCC Logística’s new 75 000 m2 logistics centre, in Azambuja.

FCC Logística’s new centre is divided into two distinct sections: one of 55 000 m2 for consumer products, and the other, of 20 000 m2, for the pharmaceutical sector. Both divisions are going to be protected by video surveillance systems (CCTV) via IP and access and intruder control systems. The CCTV system to be installed to protect the outside perimeter includes intelligent video analysis via fibre optics. The total number of cameras to be installed will exceed 200. The cameras will stream images to 14 Intellex digital video management systems.

The security operations room will utilise two virtual webs for the communication of the video surveillance system images which will be integrated with the Kantech Entrapass access control system. In addition, the integration of the intruder system into the access control system, will enable greater security control over the entire area.
