Project to adapt hotels to comply with the new General Regulations on Fire Safety in Buildings.
ADT Fire & Security, Europe’s leading provider of electronic security and fire protection solutions, has been selected by the Hotusa Hotels Group to ensure their hotels are complying with the latest fire safety regulations. As a result of a recently renewed existing agreement, ADT and the Hotusa Group will jointly implement a technical inventory and assessment of the current security conditions, particularly those concerning fire risks of all Hotusa affiliated hotels nationally. The aim of this is to adapt the hotels to ensure compliance with the new General Regulations on Fire Safety in Buildings (in force since 1 January 2009).
The new rules include penalties and fines for non-compliance and is effective from 1 January 2010. These new security rules are currently not being applied for a substantial portion of existing buildings, however they will need to be modified going forward to ensure they comply with the new regulations. This partnership with ADT Fire & Security will allow the hotels affiliated to the Hotusa chain to know, based on the technical recommendations following the specialised inventory and assessment , which measures they need to take to ensure their hotels comply with the new rules. This will therefore raise the safety levels in their hotels for their customers and ensure protection from the regulation penalties.
Hotusa’s agreement with ADT Fire & Security enables their hotels to be protected by ADT’s comprehensive range of fire and security products, solutions and services, safe in the knowledge that the same quality and reliability is applied to them as it is to all its affiliated hotels. The range of solutions include CCTV video surveillance and image broadcasting systems, access control and intruder detection systems, automatic fire detection and extinguishing systems, automatic fire extinguishing systems for kitchen hoods, toxic and explosive gas detection and alarms, ambient sound and voice alarm systems (Public Address/ Voice Alarm) as well as centralised management of security through system integration.
This new project also will also see ADT Fire & Security t, providing preventive and corrective maintenance services. Maintenance contracts of this type are now compulsory under the new General Regulations on Fire Safety in Buildings (RG-SCIE). These new contracts comply 100% with the rules established by the new legislation.
“Security in hotels is a factor much sought after and prized by customers. This close collaboration between ADT Fire & Security and the Hotusa Group ensures that the hotels are made safer against fire and that they fully comply with the rules of the General Regulations on Fire Safety in Buildings,” says (name), (post) of ADT Fire & Security.
