ADT Awarded New Contract With Abercrombie & Fitch For First Spanish Flagship StoreExpanding on an existing relationship, ADT was chosen by Abercrombie & Fitch to provide our security solutions in their first flagship store in Spain. The store will open later this summer in one of Madrid’s most emblematic locations. Abercrombie & Fitch is a popular American retailer that focuses on casual wear. It has over 300 locations in the US and is expanding internationally. The company also operates three offshoot brands: abercrombie (childrenswear), Hollister Co., and Gilly Hicks. It entered the European market in 2007 with the London flagship store. Since then, the company has opened stores in Italy, Denmark and France. Belgian, German and Irish flagship stores will open later in 2011, in addition to the Spanish one. Intrusion detection, EAS and CCTV are part of the contracted solution and have been chosen to fit in with the store’s branding and aesthetics. Our systems will cover sales and non-sales areas of the store to prevent and reduce shop-lifting and help with the supervision and management of all operations. ADT ‘s experience with the customer’s three Hollister stores in Spain helped us understand their business and requirements and win this new project. Well done to our colleagues in Spain: Israel Alcazar, Key Account Manager, and Eugenio Nombela, Project Engineer.

ADT Renews Contract with DRUNI to Upgrade Security System in 180 ShopsMaintaining a 12-year relationship with Druni helped ADT Spain renew our contract to upgrade the security system already installed in their stores, from Promax to UltraExit 24. DRUNI are a Spanish chain of shops specialising in perfume, cosmetic and personal care products. The company was founded in Carlet, Valencia, in 1987 and have 180 shops and 1000 employees in Spain. ADT’s previous excellent post-sale service to the customer gave us a clear advantage over the competition and contributed to this win. In addition, what made our proposition stand out was that our EAS system is not influenced by metal, as it usually happens, especially in RF technology, and can effectively detect the security label at the store exit. As 60% of perfumes have some metallic elements on their packaging, it’s important to the customer to have an effective security system in place to prevent shop lifting. Well done to Carlos Matarranz, Key Account Manager, Spain, for fostering a longstanding positive relationship with the customer and renewing our contract. ![]() ADT Beats Strong Competition to Win Complex Installation Project With EnagasADT Spain stood out among ten strong competitors and won a new customer, Enagas, for a complex installation project. Gas hazardous areas make the installation technically complex, but the customer was confident we have the tools and expertise to pull this through successfully. Jorge Muñoz Bonilla, Utilities Sales Engineer, understood the customer’s needs and offered the best possible solution for them in terms of technical equipment. Well done Jorge! ![]() Abercrombie Chooses ADT to Protect their New Dusseldorf Flagship StoreIn 2009, ADT Germany was awarded the first of seven orders to protect a Hollister store in Frankfurt. Benelux has European scoop on NaviStor® as part of Sensormatic Analytics®The franchise organization of HEMA, is the first in Europe to use the NaviStor® module by ADT Sensormatic Analytics®. This platform identi¬fies conspicuous transactions based on benchmarking and trending. The solution has been operational in the United States for over ten years. Now, it is a scoop for Europe: NaviStor®, part of Sensormatic Analytics®. The first test in a few HEMA-franchise stores has been successfully completed. This has led to further phasing in other parts of the organization. The principle of this Store Perfomance Solution is based on a statistical analysis of all POS data. By comparing all individual cash transactions to averages, any discrepancy stands out immediately. For example, HEMA expected much more discipline from their cashiers than turned out to be the case. Now that you are able to analyze every hit on the keyboard, it is surprising what you can discover. Knowing the results, it allowed HEMA to act upon it. It is a great management tool that earns back the money invested within no time. Shortly after implementation results per month already started showing the adapted instructions. Every night, data from approximately 1,300 HEMA checkouts is processed via the package. The fact that the solution enables the detection of actions that do not lead to direct cash differences, is what makes it special. There is not only an option to detect fraud, but also positive points stand out: the cashiers with the fewest false attacks or the highest productivity. Often a manager had a certain good feeling about it, but now that good feeling may be supported by objective data. Even afterwards, the Store Perfomance Solution is able to signal fraudulent and other remarkable things. The whole project is based around value proposition. Thanks to the efforts of Bert Jan van ‘t Zelfde, Manager Strategic Accounts Retail and the local Dutch NaviStor® team, an organization like HEMA now has much more insight in how to operate more efficiently. They can now instruct their employees according to their personal behavior, increasing the value of their input. |
